The first post on this blog was more of a rant that a real post, which is sad considering that it was about the legendary master of street photography, Henri Cartier-Bresson,. Looking back, what's even sadder is that it had only one image, a bit underwhelming for a photography blog.
This post will be try to rectify that shortcoming by being more about the photographs than about the words, as these images speak volumes about the man behind the camera. If you must, read through Henri Cartier-Bresson's Wikipedia page, although it'll be better if you go into these images with an open mind.
Have a look back on Henri Cartier-Bresson's extensive portfolio over at his Magnum Photo's page here. Some of the recommended books and DVDs about the man include Henri Cartier-Bresson: The Modern Century, Henri Cartier-Bresson: Photographer and the documentary Henri Cartier-Bresson (Two-Disc Collector's Edition).

Yeah, I get why you were so passionate in your first post about him. That's street photography before any of us whippersnappers understand it. He seems to equate common people where common people are needed and expected. It's a previous era; now, we'd expect rotting public housing and what not, he gives us the understanding of the people within that area.
Loved the kid holding 2 bottles of something, lookin' real smug.
Amazing real world images. Also, kid with the wine bottles= total pimp.
I don't prefer it..too dark and grey :/
They are quiet wonderful images, a certain coyness about some of them?
Got to love the face of the kid holding the bottles. Great picture!
The 4th picture is so adorable, he looks so happy to have those bottles in his hand - cheek little monkey! x
I love black and white photos! There's something magical about them!

They look so simple and dignified.

I guess I'll be doing a bit of reading then. But alone, his pictures do seem to have a bit of a classic feel to them.
Off to read!
Beautiful black and white pictures. I love the first one!
Simply beautiful! Loved the angles on some of them. Really gave them a greater appeal.

hahahaha that kid ther with the two wine bottles needs a caption, something along the lines of "and not a single fuck was given that day" or "get drunk, slam bitches"
Is there anyway to get a copy of the boy holding the wine bottles? Im looking for a high quality image to blow up 2' x 3'. The internet 72 dpi is not working to well. Please email me the original high quality one at jakeziegler5@aol.com thanks so much love the work.
