Just a quick update on the recent earthquake in Japan. While I mentioned in my previous post that I wouldn't be posting pictures of what happened, I happened across this New York Times post with a before and after comparison of some of the affected areas. The images are just amazing and I felt compelled to share them with you.
The pictures were taken with GeoEye and show a very bleak after landscape in contrast to the cheery before shots. Hopefully, we will see a similar comparison a year from now that replaces the dull grays with the hopeful blues and greens of the previous pictures.
Check out my original post which has links to other blogs with relevant help information.

Moving shots. If it is rebuilt, I hope they take in to consideration the vulnerability of the location..
omg...the only good thing I can think of is that it'll rebuilt better but at what cost?
It's really beyond my imagination...How horrible it is! I am sorry for all the innocent people who have lost their lives of loved ones.

im shocked of the destruction caused by the wave in japan.
the devastation to the landscape is saddening
This makes me so sad. But Japanese people are the hardest working people in the world and this might just make then even stronger, who knows. You gotta look on the bright side on everything.
And hey, if you have time, please check out my blog on NBA and other stuff. :)

So sad to see the before photo and then the wiped out one.
Pictures like these really make it seem even more real. Just to see that much devastation is heartbreaking
